SEEC is a full-day camp offered to students entering 4th -8th grade. It is staffed and organized by Shenendehowa teachers, all of whom bring excitement, enthusiasm, and expertise to the camp. SEEC offers your child the opportunity to be involved in interesting workshops, as well as a variety of group projects and team-building activities. Whether your child is shy, outgoing, or somewhere in-between, SEEC’s innovative program allows he or she to excel. It has been a long year...it is time get back outside and have some fun!!! SEEC is sure to be the “talk” of your child’s summer!

SEEC is devoted to exciting and challenging workshops in both the morning and afternoon. This year we are offering a variety of workshops, which will meet the interests of all students. Students will select four of the many workshops offered, for each week they attend. Your child will choose two in the morning and a different two in the afternoon. Workshop descriptions are attached. Students will choose the workshops they prefer prior to the start of camp each week. An email will be sent to all parents with an electronic form (before camp begins) where your child will select his or her four workshops. We will work with all students to try to make sure they get the workshops they prefer. Some workshops will be blocked together (Workshop I & II together in the morning and Workshop III & IV together in the afternoon) because they require more time. There will be an asterisk (*) in the workshop descriptions to identify these double block workshops. An example of this is the Camping and Hiking Skills Workshop. Adventure and great fun await your child at SEEC. Please visit our website for more information. You may find us at Shen’s website at www.shenet.org and look under Shen Summer Adventures-SEEC. SEEC will provide the majority of the tools and supplies needed. Meals will not be provided, so students should bring a bagged lunch and snacks with them. It is mandatory that your child bring a water bottle with them as the summer heat often causes dehydration. Students may choose to wear a face mask during camp. Students will also need to have small backpack/string bag for their belongings and an optional towel or small blanket (as we will be trying to have all of our lunches outdoors). There will be a designated location to store their blanket/towel during the day. We would prefer that students bring a lunchbox with cool packs, but if necessary limited refrigeration will be available. Regular camp hours are 9:00am to 4:00pm. For more information you may view Shen’s website at www.shenet.org – Community Education- Shen Summer Adventures-SEEC. Additional information, photos, and copies of all forms will be available there.
